Harry has a job in the the ministry of magic s office.

Albus is afraid he will break the family tradition and be sorted into slytherin rather than gryffindor. He and his friends have grown up and entered adult lives careers and families in the magical world. Harry potter and the cursed child continues the wondrous magical world that we all know and love. Aboard the hogwarts express albus becomes fast friends with a fellow 11 year old named scorpius malfoy.

At hogwarts albus expects to be sorted into gryffindor house whose members are best known for their courage and loyalty. Harry and ginny weasley are married and have three children albus james and lily. The book begins at king s cross station with harry s and hermione s respective children albus potter and rose granger weasley going off to hogwarts for the first time. When the train reaches hogwarts the students attend the sorting ceremony.

Albus stays and the two become friends sharing stories and sweets on the journey to hogwarts. Neither child realizes that their fathers were arch rivals at hogwarts. Albus sits next to scorpius at their table. The story starts out at king s cross with the original trio preparing their school age children to board the train to start their first year at hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry.
