I M Forming My Own Cloud Here

I m quite surprised and satisfied with it these days.

My files are under my control on a machine that i built using software that i inspected and encrypted with my own secure keys. Now with owncloud 7 it s becoming a must have tool. Like i said i like the price pressure this puts on those selling storage for a living but i ll stick with my baby owncloud for its flexibility use of my own storage or other storage that i choose and open standards and apis. I do though want the convenience of cloud storage.

I ve had a system that works and recent changes by google have forced me to reevaluate my options. My solution was to build my own personal cloud using seafile an open source cloud server running on my own linux based raid storage system. As a superuser of google goods and services the last few months like 2020 in general has had me rethink how i approach my digital life. To hell with their cloud.

I became interested in the open source for a pretty simple reason i could get unix type technology at home with linux. Instead of flexibility i see enormous lock in. You have to fill out the form. Build your own today.

You can even share pictures as files or as pictures to show them in a nice and automatic gallery. I have several qnap nas servers here at my office but today i m going to use a ts 419p ii turbonas. Of all the things i use my smartphones for music and photos are near the top of that list. A fantastic backup tool where you can work save your files edit documents save your pictures and even share them safely and easily.
